Take The King's Shilling....

The 71st Regiment of Foot seeks lads of TRUE HIGHLAND BLOOD, willing to show loyalty and spirit in Defence of His Majesty King George the Third and Great Britain.  The Regiment offers HIGH BOUNTIES and SOLDIER-LIKE ENTERTAINMENT and is raised to quell the un-natural Rebellion in North America.   The Lads of this Regiment will LIVE and DIE together;-- as they cannot be drafted into other Regiments, and by order of His Majesty are authorised to wear the HIGHLAND GARB. We seek individuals interested in going beyond textbook history, and experiencing authentick campaigning as part of a recreated unit of the British Army.  Interested in acquiring the polite accomplishments of an 18th century soldier, to include the musket and other soldier-like skills? Do you wish to wear the red coat, enjoy physical activity and the outdoors, and have an interest in British military history? If so, our recreated Battalion company may be for you. We are most often found at events in Virgimia, North, and South Carolina, but at times attend events further north and south.
